Goodbye Celaya
Goodbye Celaya
General Información
The end of an era here in Celaya, as we have arrived to my last week. I can't believe how fast 6 months have gone, but this little city will always have a speical place in my heart. Of course, with this week comes a lot of goodbyes, and I have to admit, beforehand I never would've thought I'd be sad to leave somewhere in my mission. But, in the mission is the place where the impossible is the most possible, and I can say that I am sad hahah. Still though, I am only sad because of how happy I've been hear, to have had the chance to get to know people who I know that I was destined to meet, and to have grown so much.

Baptizmal Talk from 2,000 Miles Away
Last
Monday my Mom had mentioned to me that my cousin, Camden, had mentioned that he
wanted me to give the talk at his baptizm in the coming week. It seemed like a
impossible notion at first glance, but as I already stated in the first
paragraph, after a little bit of thought, and a call to my mission President,
on Saturday it became a reality. Now, with my ward being so small, I have given
a good amount of talks in my time here, but as my Mom plugged me into the TV
there in the chapel, I found myself more nervous than with any of the other
talks before. May it was because it was my first time talking about the church
in English for almost half a year, but luckily I remembered enough words to get
by, and it was a very special moment. I felt the Spirit from the little
internet cafe testify that this is the true church, that my wonderful cousin
Camden was making one of the most important decisions of his life, and that our
Heavenly Father was very very happy for him.

One
of the biggest blessings of this church is that we have inspired leaders who
guide us with relvelation from God. I know without a doubt that I was put here
in Celaya to start my mission for a reason, and I have seen it in every contact
and friendship I have made. Same goes for the revelation that our Apostles
recived to change the rules of how missionaries can comunicate with their familes,
opening up opportunties like talking at the baptizm of my cousin, as very
speical moment that I am not going to forget anytime soon. This revelation is a
testamony that this is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ, and that we are
lead by Him in this days. While this chaper of my mission closes here in
Celaya, I look forward for what lies ahead, and know where I go from here, is
exactly where I need to be.
