Why Drink Water When Coke is Cheaper?

If the KSL calender that this lady in my ward has is correct, tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day, so I just wanted to take the beginning of this email to remind you all to wear green. Defininetly a thing of importance, and I would hate to have someone get pinched when I could have saved them. Anyway, in less important news, we put 2 more dates for baptizm for this week! Nice because 3 of our other one's fell, but I have faith that those will happen soon too, just a little later. 

1 liter of Coke = 1 Baptizmal Date

In relation to the title of this email, one of our dates this week was with an investigator named Rosa. Now, whenever we got there for a lesson, she would run to the store to buy 2 liters of coke for us to drink during it. Obviously, we drink a lot of coke in the first place, as it is Mexico and everything, but with her we soon found it was obligatory. If you said you didn't want any, she said okay, and then poured another big glass. 3 and a half huge cups later, she accepted a date for the 13 of April. My health may have taken a hit, but the lesson was really good, and the spirit was really strong, so I'd have to say it was worth it. 

Bday of my Son

My son, Elder Isiordia that is, had his birthday this week, and we went to celebrate it at the house of a member. As we sat there eating chocolate flan and listening to the Spanish version of "Happy Birthday", it hit me how speical this time in my life to serve is. I can't say I ever thought I'd be in a situation like that before my mission, but boy am I happy it happened, and that I am here.

El Fin

With this week we also had our zone conference, and we talked about the challenge we had to read the whole Book of Mormon in 2 changes, and though it's been a little slower of a read in Spanish, I have seen so many blessings from my reading. Everytime without fail, I enter my studying with a question or a doubt for one of my investigators, and always I find something that applies to them. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and I can promise and testify that as we prayfully study it, it will bring us closer to our Heavenly Father, and his love for us, than we could imagine.
