One Baptizimal Program to Rule Them All

General Información
We have hit an intersting problem here in Celaya, as all of our investigators have gotten baptized. Not a bad thing at all, but just means we have been doing a lot of contacting to find some new people. This week was really heavy of knocking doors, but not a lot came from it. That's okay though, as you have to have down times to appreciate the good ones. I have faith this week will be better!

One Baptizmal Program to Rule Them All

As I said about all of our old investigators, we had another baptizm this week! It was a 14 year old boy that we have been teaching the whole last change. At first we went just to teach him, but eventually his little sisters wanted the lessions too, so we ended up teaching all of them the lessions. The older brother was the only one with a date, but we felt like the sisters were ready too. So, we came up with the idea to bring a sample baptizmal program to our last lession with them, but to put all the names of them on there instead of just the brother. We pulled it out at the end, and the sisters accepted to be baptized too! A very big blessing for sure, and a very speical baptizm for me.

Run Guero Run!

For those who don't know what the word "guero" means, it translates to white boy. Unsuprisingly, it is a word I have heard a lot these past few months, as I guess something about blue eyes and blonde hair makes you stand out a little in the heart of Mexico. Anyway, I convinced my comp to get up at 6 every morning to go running, and the last strech of our morning routine, a local walking by (don't ask me why he was there at 6 in the morning, I don't know either) shouted "Corre Guero Corre!" I couldn't help but laugh, as I'm sure the image of a white boy and a latino running through the streets of Celaya early in the morning looks even weirder than it sounds. Still though, the locals are always there to cheer us gueros on.

El Fin

I can't say much more than I happy to be here in Mexico. The blessing of seeing people's progression in the Gospel is one that I am beyond grateful for, and look forward to seeing it more in the future. I know this church is true, without a doubt.

Until next week!
