Hello from Querétaro!
hey Mom!
hey Mom!
I am currently writing you in a little computer place in Celaya, my first area. It´s pretty crazy honestly, there are some places that we can´t go to after 7 but I feel really safe. I will have to take some pictures and send them to you next lunes which
is going to be my pdays. We got up at 3 this morning, and took another bus at 7 for 3 hours to Querétaro. We had our first meeting and I meet with President Williamson, and it was so good. Our meeting was super spiritual, and at the end he asked if I wanted
the challenge of a native speaker. I said yes, so my companion is Elder Reyes! He is from northern Mexico, right below California and he is so nice. He wants to work just as much as me, and so I think we are going to do well. He doesn´t speak English, but
he understands a lot of it so when I run into something I don´t know he can help me out. It is going really well right now, and I have only spoke Spanish with him all day. I said I prayer I would be able to speak and understand to the best of my abilities
right before we got assigned and since they I have been able to understand and spoke so well. I am excited for the progress that I will make in the future. As for our schedule, we have a lot of lessions this week, including 3 baptizms this weekend. On sabado
it's a little boy getting baptized and if I have understood everything so far I think I am baptizing him, but I guess we will see. I am really excited to see what we can do together, and look forward to preaching to these people. It was a little overwhelming
when I first got here, but after a little bit of time I have felt so much better about everything. Also, I sent a package to you guys with an elder from the ccm who is going back the states! I also sent a letter to Maggie to our house, I didn't have where
to send it to before but I just asked her so I will keep you updated for what to do with it. I miss you guys so much, and today in the prayer with the president he blessed you guys because of my service, and I hope that you all are feeling those blessings.
Love you guys with all my heart, and look forwarding to getting more time to talk to you. Have a great week, and may you see the hand of God in your lives everyday.
Mucho amor,
Elder Jackson
