2 Months Into the Best 2 Years

General Información

This Sunday marks 2 months from when I hopped on a plane from SLC and somehow ended up here. It feels like a blink of an eye, and a lifetime, but I am grateful for both. As for the week though, it was pretty lax. We had zone conference and so I got to talk to and meet all the missionaries in my zone which was nice! I met this Elder named Elder Wright, and we figured out I am basically the reincarnation of him. This is his last change, while this is my first change, and we both started the mission in the same place. Kind of crazy talking to him and realzing that when he got to the mission Starboy by the Weeknd had just barely come out, I was starting my junior year of high school. Felt pretty young, but young isn't bad. Just means I have time to work!

The Christmas Carol of Contacting

The only other thing that happened this week is that were able to travel with the stake choir to Cortazar this week to contact during their concert in the city squre. As you would imagine, not that many people wanted to accept a little card that an American kid had interuppted their conversation to give to them. But, in between no's we could listen to the choir, and the square was really pretty so not too bad of an experience.

El Fin

With Christmas coming up I find myself thinking more and more about the importance of families. In our ward this week we had the primary program, and they sang "Families Can Be Together Forever" and sitting in the back of a lightly populated chapel that line hit me harder than before. During that week we also had the opportunity to eat with a family who has 3 little brothers, ages 10, 12 and 14. As I saw them play, talking and laugh together, it reminded me of my relationship with my siblings at home, and how greatful I am for them. Also how cool it is that the family is the same where ever you go, from Utah to Mexico to anywhere in between. Wishing you all a happy holidays, and that we can all spend this time to be together with the people who mean the most to us.
